SELF-KNOWLEDGE & SELF-DENIAL
The body of work examines the tragedy of self-knowledge and self-denial. The progress towards self-knowledge can lead to dreadful suffer, yet the amount of suffer is the price we must pay to know ourselves. Even if we get to the bottom of all our questions and solve all of the riddles, it does not necessarily encourage us to change what it is or what we actually found. The beauty of tragedy comes from the balance of voice and silence, fulfillment and emptiness which are interrelated to release the repression. The mental conflict between the acceptance of truth and the denial of reality, which has never been said before now is exaggerated by visual language.
